Bulk Bath Salts Can Increase Your Sales!
For years we packaged our bath salts in beautiful and stylish containers. They sold very well. However, with the whole "green" movement, we decided to try something new. Well, not really new to the world. New to our marketing plan.
Last year The Pass Christian Soap Co. started offering Bulk Bath Salts to our retail customers. We noticed a drastic change in sales! Customers would see the beautiful salts displayed in the window and they couldn't resist. Once we established that this is a good formula...we made bulk salts available for our wholesale clientelle.
Here are a few tips on how we display our salts.
- Put them in large apothecary type jars with lids. Sea salts draw moisture and will turn to a watery mess in humid climates.
- It's not necessary to fill the jars "to the top". I think it looks nice to see the jar in an artsy manner nearly full.
- Use a pretty scoop to 'serve' your customers.
- Scoop salts into clear cello bags and tie with a nice, natural twine.
- We provide you with our labels, but you can also put your logo on the bags and promote your company as well.
- Buy cute muslin draw string bags and slip the plastic bag inside. (bath salts should be in a plastic bag to protect from moisture an to make sure the oils do not damage clothing or surfaces.
- Groups of jars give that apothecary look that makes customers take a look.
- Encourage customers to touch, smell and browse through the collection.
We have found that if you place the jars out of direct sunlight in a visable spot front and center, customers are drawn in by the display as well as the fragrance.
Enjoy!
